Acram keo was in his mid twenties when the first protests of the arab spring began at the end of 20 ten. He and his family lived in an assyrian village just outside the city of alas in the northeast corner of syria. As the civil war drew on, islamic state, or isis, attempted to capture alhasaka as we'll soon hear. And as you can probably already imagine, it didn't end well.
