The Importance of Practice in Jazz
I started hearing a little bit and getting intrigued high school, baby. I remember kind of like in that feeling that it was improvised as opposed to what I perceived classical music being too much practicing. And jazz represented this at that time, escape from practicing. So you could just make it up anything that came into your head. It's only been in more recent years that I decided that practicing even somewhere in relationship to jazz was a good thing and that bad thing.
