The promise of globalization, the promise of military supremacy enabling us to both keep order and advance our values failed. And i think it's also evident in some of the pathologies that are so rampant in our country. So we know we have a long way to goespecially it's really remarkable, just to repeat a point i made earlier, that you kind of won the argument with the last two presidents, but you view prevailed, i think, for both the bomba and trump at least intuitively. But it failed in practice. Why did fail in practice? Because because the is quo does work to the benefit of some members of congress.
