"I'm with you on basically not valuing innovation as innovation, like just cause it's innovation. I think inherent to a lot of jewish approaches is the idea that the old isn't permanently old based on when it was created," says Rabbi Shmuley Boteach. "If you choose something that fewer people are used to or have a tradition of, then it's new to them and you have the potential to unlock something special, even if it's not really new."
