As Aang learns the different elements, he goes through different phases of learning each one. He takes up water super fast, which makes a ton of sense because he's a natural air bender. And when he takes up Fire next, he's very excited to pick it up and is like, "Oh yeah, you know, feeling like it works just like air and water" It was something interesting that came up in their conversation after that, which was Zhang Zhang saying that Fire is the only element that will continue to multiply after someone has started it.
