The Psychological Harms of Coronary Calcium Screening

I don't know of any proven benefits of coronary calcium screening, and there are definite harms. Until we have data that patient outcomes are actually improved by obtaining the scan, reacting to the scan in one way or another, I can't think of any justification to recommend obtaining a calcium score in a patient. There is some psychological harm and damage in labeling healthy people as patients, besides their radiation. And just wondering what you think I was interested to hear Katie say that you're seeing increasing marketing of coronary calcium scores.
