The Importance of Emotions in Bipolar Disorder
Underneath the disorder they are a person. They have passions. They have things that they want to do with their life, but they have trouble getting there because this diagnosis continues. It's almost 10 times more common in families that have had bipolar for them to continue to have bipolar in the family. And sometimes treatment with antidepressants can result in mood switching and it can prompt a manic or hypomanic episode or rapid cycling.
