The Duot and the Judgement of Osiris

In the turbulent period between 2125 and 1795, Egyptians spread notion that all people had immortal souls. The belief in a god called Osiris epitomized the cycle of death and resurrection they believed everyone went through. Beginning around 2100, Egyptian writings began philosophizing about a dark place called the Duot. In the Duot, the dad needed to be careful to avoid perils and meet the judgment of Osiris together with his counsel.
