I think to some extent there are people who have turned the lives of trans people into a political football, and trans women or men that I've spoken to do not wish to be used in that way. Most trans people, you said something important, which is Adam the rapist who wanted to be known as Eyla, shouldn't serve in a Scottish prison. You were clear about that. As the Shadow Justice Secretary, I've been pretty crystal clear on that one. It's always going to be about balancing rights and responsibilities, but protecting the rights and interest and safety of women needs to be paramount for all of us.
