When buying a company, don't promise nothing will change. Mapping jobs and career architecture can be very helpful in the early stages of an acquisition. The other mistake i've seen made is implementing h r systems too quickly. You're looking at two or three layers, but ah ar departments will force people into rubric that's not quite right.
