The Importance of Manufacturing in the United States
It's not necessary to have a fab in the U.S. Or you can have the fab in Taiwan and South Korea as long as you have a navy that protects the ability to get the chips to the United States. When it's sensitive to national security, make sure that the manufacturing plants in countries that are friendly. And maybe a certain amount of supply, like some of the very sophisticated chips in the world, maybe some of those should be produced in the United States for use in the military,. just in case Taiwan gets wiped out.
