The Jesus of Mormonism and the Jesus of the Synoptic Gospel Tradition

Both Mormonism and evangelicals hold sacred books of scripture about Jesus that is not based on actual historical events. Both sides have followers who propose these non-historic documents as parables. One last brief problem to discuss about scripture is pseudopigraphy. The Book of Mormon and the Book of Abraham have often been referred to as pseudoprapeful or apocryphal. I would like to close this piece with a quote from James Kiegel. Although this quote is speaking of the multi-authorship of Isaiah, I believe this quote captures the oral issues when approaching the Bible.
