Do You Validate Design Decisions?

There are two levels of support for user research: low touch and high touch. Low touch is when you're not doing the project, but just helping with synthesis or writing a discussion guide. High touch is where your role is to be more involved in making sure that users get what they want. A common framework I use is "What information do you need from me" before deciding on an idea? And then it's also about validating design decisions - one of my biggest pet peeves is being asked to validate a design decision.
