The Eichmann Trial
Until the Eichmann trial, it was very much under the radar really. It took France 50 years to acknowledge its own part in deporting about 75,000 Jewish people,. Some of French nationality, some of other European nationalities to Auschwitz. And they didn't want to tell anything about this because there would have been a civil war in France - which was absolutely split down the middle.
