The Need for More Funding for CDC
One thing is we need consistent funding for c d c. Cisy needs to be able to respond robustly to everyday emergencies and to hundred year floods. The other thing that really has to change is the better alignment of federal, state, city and county health departments. Currently there's too much of an abyss between city and states,. Many cities and many states, many counties. We're not aligned in public health. That's not something that you can snap your fingers and change overnight. It will require u many years of effort.
