Are We Going to a Flyover State?
I was so disappointed in the last presidential election that 43% of our country didn't even vote. I think we need more people to vote and get engaged in the civic process. There is a level of activism that's been heightened, beginning with the women's march after the inauguration. The democratic field has an embarrassment of riches right now. It's a marathon. President Obama used to say, you have to be prepared to lift up your hood and let people kick your tires.
