There is a requirement for us to be able to extract tens of giga tons, tens of billions of tons of sotthe atmosphere. The exact amount we nead to extract is a function of how much we reduce at the same time. If we were able to plant an additional trillion trees, the c o two those trees would absorb while they're growing, would bring us back to pre industrial carbon levels.
