The economic model got a force to go into. The smart thing to do when you're accelerating towards a dead end is figure out how to a gently transition to something that does not have you colliding in whatever they have at the end of the road. We can't let people who have succeeded in a system that is self terminating dictate whether or not we switch to another system. Whatever must be done, we really don't have a choice, right?
