The Benefits of Using a Generator in Rails

The most common scenario where I see generators used is in gems, right? People want to provide you a more streamlined setup experience or things like the U component. But what I've gotten more excited about is enabling people to do things with service objects and query objects. You don't even have to think about it. So a lot of it is that kind of just removing friction so that you can get to the part, the high value work because copying and renaming files on the system is not working for us.
