The Importance of Humanizing Trump

The West Wing is about trying to use public office for good, for decency. I think the point of the movie and the reason that I compared it to a Frank Capra movie is because it is about ideas. All you need is like a nice guy and then he can be president and it'll be fine and the country will be great. The one part of the setup that would hit me the wrong way today is the assumption that not the assumption, but the implication that anyone can be president.
