Metroland: A Mini Theme Park
In East London you've got Blue Woolworth, Bluewater if you were to pronounce the letters in that name. The interiors are full of bright reds and blues and ostrogothic wallpaper. Metroland was a mini theme park inside the Metro Centre which had its Metro Gnomes - people dressed up as gnomes. But Warpole coined the word gloom to describe the effect he was trying to achieve.
