What Kind of Threat Do These Protests Really Pose to China?
These protests are far from becoming an organized mass movement, but the Chinese government is surely concerned about what's happening. It will be interesting to see whether these protests then ramp up the level of paranoia even more. The Nationals have been widely rebuked after their decision announced this week by party leader David Littleproud to oppose the Indigenous Voice to Parliament. And aviation workers plan to strike next Friday in a move that could cause major disruption at airports across the country.
