DeSantis's Switch: How to Deliver Extemporaneous Speeches

DeSantis is comfortable speaking extemporaneously when he's asked a question, particularly by the media. What's unclear to me is if he can deliver that on a debate stage or in a speech itself. He seems frustrated by about sort of sheltering his announcement. I would put this guy in town hall format all day and answer questions from... Put him on CNN, right?
