Ellie Meade: I didn't really think about before about how important the 20s were for higher ed because you know, there's affluence and money. But right away you get this tension between debt and like charity or handouts or however we're going to talk about this, right? She says it seems like a very American tension that always plays out. "There's also been a really important idea that you need this education can't be free," she says.
