I wondered, is it possible that between Richter's paintings and your analysis of his paintings that the two inextricably combined for me? I didn't ask that question. So there's this sense in which we are always inhabiting these very old forms, whether we want to or not with intentionality or not. It's my repressive apparatus so strong that I cannot recognize the absolute extraordinary beauty of the liberation of the unconscious that Richter's painting provides.
