Radical and revolutionary organizing is an attempt on the part of the capitalist ruling class to do two things at once it's repression and hegemony. In 68 instead of seeing the social relations that produced the radical uprising in 68 all of the 10 million workers who were involved in the struggle are seen as kind of symbol of revolt where you have a few photographs and a few slogans mainly taken from Parisian students. This is disconnected from the larger workers movement a larger struggle while at the same time it just becomes then a kind of point to use in order to brand french theory as somehow radical.
