What Is the Difference Between Traditionalists and Modernists?

The Exodus is make-believe. The stories in Joshua and the Judges are a motley melange of folktales assembled from a collection of Semitic tribes who never thought of themselves as one people. King David never existed, and the mighty United Empire of Solomon, depicted in the Old Testament, was but a fantasy. Israel was polytheistic through its entire history, and Yahweh, just one God amongst many others worship. Other moderns have different opinions on all these matters. At the other end of the continuum are the decreasing number of traditionalists who argue we got it all right in 1930. The Bible is a completely reliable guide.
