Is the War on Terror Worth It?

The war on terror at the time, i mean, i was, you know, a young man. None of us at that time, after nine 11, would have bet that there would not have been another significant terrorist attack within the next few years. So it's interested, when im readin your book, i was like, ok, does he think that the entire thing doesn't make sense? That nothing that they did made sense whatoever,. Or wer there some amount of increased surveillance, security or something that could even retroactively be seen as worth it? I mean, i would argue none of it is worth it!
