Life is that system that is constantly expanding its own pas space. Its constantly making new niches to itself, which is not the case for physico chemical systems. Once life gets going, it starts responding to environmental challenge by increasing in complexity so that it can run more economically. And this suggests to me that very simple life must be ubiquitous in the universe. I mean, i think it's one of the things that planets just get infested with, like, you know, small children get cold. But something complex life is another matter er.
