Children's Love for Truth, Beauty and Goodness Develops Properly

The faculty of individual judgment does not develop fully until 14 or 15. By then children have developed enough so that teachers are justified in appealing to their judgment. At 14 or 15, children can reason for them elves. But before then, we harm them and retard their development by continually discussing why and how with them. All of later life benefits immeasurably. Children experience goodness and follow its path in later life.
