Thomas Jefferson was a very well-traveled man. How did his travels affect his thought and his influence, his own philosophy? He saw the revolution coming in France. And I think one of the reasons why he was so insistent on defending the French Revolution is because he believed that the fate of the American republic was tied to the success of the French republic.
