The Uncertainty of the 1990s

In the early 2000s, we enter a period of paralysis and uncertainty. The developments which have characterized the 1990s begin to reemerge in slightly more grotesque shapes. If the number of democracies in the world has doubled in that period of 15 years, it's just going to double again. And pretty soon, every country in the world is going to be a democracy because we're right, we're good. These things are logically connected and they're all going to come together.
