The Benefits of Loom Over Server Async
Loom essentially auto magically, without you having to do anything, turns that blocking into non blocking. Once you've using some form of non blocking, there doesn't appear to be much benefit in moving to Loom. Where you get benefit is simplicity. Not blocking is a pain. So it's much if I can just do a try catch catch an IO exception and do a blocking read or write happy days, much easier to manage. But we're not at the point where even you can do that yet because Loom is still preview.
