The Evolution of Alternative Data
Do you see alternative data as being the leading edge of the ever-growing march of traditional data? Is it just going to be folded into essentially the market data which you recognized back in 1994? Or is it something which is a tributary and will always be separate? Well, I think some alternative data will become part of the mainstream. Once it becomes cheaper to produce and the signals that they produce become accepted as standard signals, then it will becoming part of the data infrastructure. And ESG is a whole world of its own in a way, isn't it? It's been a whole kind of trend of its own and it's telling its own story.
