What's the Best Music for the Oboe?

I was in Mexico with some musicians. And one of them is an oboe player and I love his CDs because I just, he don't know, I love the oboe. So I said to him, who are the composers who wrote the most, the best music for the oboe? And he said Bach, Evaldi and Handel. Right. Even the second string composer, you know, who plays Johannes Matheson today? Well, basically nobody. Most people have never heard of the guy. But he could write a decent piece of music because he knew how.
