On henry ford's 70 fifth birthday, he was awarded the grand cross of the supreme order of the german eagle. It was the highest decoration that could be given to a non german citizen. Henry ford saved his business by shoving the burden of credit on to his dealerships. And he was hailed a hero, which is a trick that never really goes away and very few people seem to see through it.
