Is There a Potential for Infinity?
Greeks had problems with infinity. Discovery that the squareit of two can't be written as to a ratio of two whole numbers if you write it as an infinite, never repeating itself. Was real challenge to their whole philosophy. But in fact, even in the ancient egyptians, in order to calculate the volume of a pyramid, we now know that they must have had some idea of infinitely dividing space.
