Much of what we call love today is anima or animus projection, which occurs when you take someone and you split them off for parts of themselves in order to fill their social role or survive. So the feeling of like safety that perhaps a woman gets when she's with a man is creatable inside of herself,. But she hasn't necessarily learned that way to feel just held and safe and taken care of by a stronger presence. And I choose to engage with their gifts and their flaws, knowing that I'm complete already.
