The intervention bias in a nutshell is the desire to always do something instead of leaving things alone. The response is well, let's just take all these elephants captive and we'll try to breed them in captivity But now we have a bunch of depressed elephants. We're having health problems because we kept them in captivity and they're not okay with that. When do you intervene in certain situations and when do you let nature take its course?
