How to Sift Through Interviews With Ted
There was some temptation, but I wanted to keep this film as personal as possible because it's also a love story, which we haven't really talked about. He did die in 1999 so you had to rely on what archival interviews there were. But the one that was was the most surprising and I lean on considerably was an interview that was done by CNN and BBC for this series called The Cold War. For an episode on spies, they did the equivalent of a three-hour interview with Ted of which they only used about a minute and a half in the final.
