The Importance of Ambition

I think in a way ambition has driven me more than anything else I want it to be the best of its kind that there has ever been and I've always felt that. As soon as I stop feeling like that then maybe that other ghastly word which you've already mentioned retirement ought to come into my life so there is a kind of ambition that I care about passionately. When I was younger yes I think I was probably really quite ruthlessly ambitious  and don't like how I would have been at show business parties in my 20s where I would have being jostling to get into the right position.
