How Much Debt Will We Borrow Over 30 Years?
Right now, the debt held by the public is 23 trillion dollars. The base line over the next 30 years is we're going to borrow a hundred and 12 trillion dollars. Every point interest rates rise above the c b o projection over 30 years would cost 30 trillion dollars in additional interest payments. This is going to be the biggest debt avalanche in world history. We don't really know when we'll fall off a cliff.
