The House of Lords Is an Unelected Chamber

The Lords has become notorious for the presence of cronies in recent years. Friends and acquaintances have passed political leaders and party donors who've managed to get themselves elevated to the second chamber. But Lord's speaker is keen to remind me of some of the less discussed peers who play key roles in proceedings. The average attendance in the Lords is about 350 to 400 every day.
