Why Is the Fourth Amendment Constrained?
In dozens of similar cases, where a black person has been killed by a police officer, the officers have never been found guilty. The reasonableness of a particular use of force must be judged from the perspective of a reasonable officer on the scene, rather than with the 2020 vision of hindsight. So you have to put yourself in the shoes of an officer in the moment and look at the world through their eyes.
