Dick Winters - The Man Who Learned by Doing
Tom hanks said he had one big problem with his ultimate character arc, the screen writers made him a man who grew into the role. He was displeased with a few of the early cut saying, you made it seem like we can't even read a map. But certainly i wanted to create an arc as well, and to watch this man grow to the hero that we know to day. Would he have been less interesting had he landed already? I didn't particularly know. Our worlds were too far apart. It made me feel even more so like an actor, like an interpreter of a story,. And further away any imaginings i might have had of myself as a soldier in war
