The Rock Is Trying to Act Heroically
In order to be, you can't act heroically. The script has to lend itself to you having a hero's journey. And then during that, you have to be true to the character that you're playing. For example, Chris Evans with Captain America, that's a guy who's in and around the law all the time. So sometimes he's heroic. Sometimes he's an outlaw, but we're always dedicated to him because he's not acting like a hero. He's acting like somebody who has principles.
