The Most Important Lesson From This Episode Is Selfishness

Selfishness is the unequal application of standards in order to benefit your own survival. Selfishness and survival pressures the mind to tailor moral principles to its own advantage. It's a biasing of morality and ideology in service of survival at the cost of truth. The double standard is that you demonize the survival functions of other people and organizations, but not your own, and not your own organization or tribe. That's what it all boils down to. This is the crux of selfishness.
