I think for me inner child work has also been political work because in reclaiming what the needs of my inner child are I'm saying to those systems I'm no longer buying into that. We have to bring in this vision of ourselves as an ancestor as somebody who has done the healing and as someone who has access to wisdom. Part of this work is also reconnecting with our ancestral wisdom which is always available right? And so we have all of these tools around us that can remind us of that sacredness that can remind us that we are actually never alone"
