The Challenges of Orbiting a European Orbiter
Many different mission architectures have been proposed for studying europa, including that of a dedicated orbiter. The idea is to just dip in and do your science during a period of likel say, a day or so around closest approach to Europe. Then leave the high radiation environment and doutling data at a more less and more relaxed cadence. After a few dozen flybis, you could start to accrue the coverage that you would have achieved tho a dedicated orbiters.
