The Origins of the CIA

It's crazy stuff. I mean, is James Bond kind of stuff, right? It is. They should make a movie out of this. The main impetus for creating the CIA in 1947 is Harry Truman wants to know what's going on in the world. And that's the CIA's job. Over time, it took on more of the role of influencing things, covert operations. But originally, it's sole purpose is to collect intelligence from abroad and have people who are back home analyzing that intelligence.
